"Highly recommend to anyone getting married!! Reiss and Erica were just a pleasure to work with, and were always there for anything that was needed, and helped out in every way possible. They made our vision come to life! The venue and property is simply a magical place, and it will forever hold precious memories. They played a huge role in making our day so beautiful! I will forever be grateful for the Farmstead. Run, do not walk, and book with them!! You will not be disappointed!" -Ellie
"The best of the best for a Rustic Wedding!!! My Daughter & now Son-in-Law had their wedding there last week. Reiss & Erica were incredible & made sure everything that was wanted was done. Trust me this wedding was unique. From getting married under a specific tree on the property to succulent floral arrangements. They made sure my daughters vision came to life!!! If you are thinking about a farm wedding do NOT hesitate!! Book them!!! Thank you both!!!" -Shari
"I would 100% recommend!!! This venue is so beautiful and romantic! We’re planning our spring 2024 wedding and the experience so far has been exceptional! The Baxters (owners) are so patient and friendly, they have walked us through every step of the way and are very involved." -Crystal
"The owners are absolute sweethearts and are very easy to work with! They are extremely flexible with their hours and my requests. The Farmstead is also a fair price- coming from a coupon queen.
The Renfro house that you can add on extra is absolutely perfect. My husband and I would highly recommend The Farmstead and even more so recommend the Renfro house. We enjoyed our stay and our wedding! Can’t wait to attend more weddings there!" -Haley
Shawnee Springs Farm
The name "Shawnee Springs" dates back to the late 1800's when the farm was over 2000 acres owned by Colonel Thompson. The original house that was on the property sat where the present farmhouse sits today. The farm was named from the natural spring, "Shawnee Springs" that is located to the West of The Farmstead's barn. Colonel Thompson and his family are buried in the stone cemetery that you can see to the left of the barn. The original homestead burned in the 1970's. In 1974, Shawnee Springs farm located at 761/765 Curry Pike was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Behind the house you can still see the original smokehouse and shed that are estimated to be well over 120 years old. The barn itself is estimated at approx. 105 years old and was originally a tobacco barn, turned horse barn.
